Areas I Can Help With
Anxiety & Stress
From academic pressures to workplace demands, anxiety can feel overwhelming and exhausting.
An old teacher once told me that you can never truly be free of stress, she said “the only time you’d be stress free, is if you’re six feet under”. She made a good point. Stress can come in varying degrees and odd times.
Together we can explore the roots of your anxiety, develop coping strategies, and create space to breathe again.
LGBTQ+ Inclusion
As an LGBTQ+ inclusion worker and advocate, I understand the importance of safe spaces where you can bring your whole self.
Whether you’re exploring identity, navigating relationships, or dealing with discrimination, you’re welcome here.
I also have a lot of lived experience with being part of the LGBTQ+ community and having to come to terms with my own sexuality. I know it isn’t easy, but you don’t have to go through it alone.
Grief & Loss
At SOSAD, I supported clients through some of life’s toughest moments of bereavement and loss.
Grief can also creep up on various occasions, it can be years after the death of a loved one. It can also come after a job loss.
Therapy provides a safe place to honour your grief while also helping you reconnect with life at your own pace.
Neurodivergence-Affirming Support
As someone who understands the challenges of navigating a “one-size-fits-all” world, I offer a neurodivergent-affirming space for clients to explore self-understanding and develop tools for daily life that truly fit them.
Whether it’s Autism or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), my therapeutic space will be informative and affirming.
Relationship Difficulties
Navigating relationships can be difficult in any capacity, whether it be about how you communicate, how you live together with your partner, and how you navigate intimacy.
It can also concern friendship difficulties, family issues or trying to navigate professional relationships at work.
All of these relationships can effect you and it’s perfectly normal to start the conversation about why that is.
Trauma and Shock
Trauma can present itself in a variety of ways and can shock the body and the mind that much, you may not realise it.
I’m not an expert on trauma-work, but I have experience in working with people who’ve experienced traumatic experiences as well as my own personal experience.
A past colleague of mine told me that “trauma is all about the body”, which I fully agree with. You may not be able to find the words right away, but that’s fine, we can just start with what comes up and go from there.
